Alternative solutions for each problem result in costs (including dollar measurement of time required to reach a decision) and a probability of incurring a later consequential problem, or an assessment of an expected value of the alternative against the player. Game emphasizes use of statistical sampling and expected value among solution techniques” (Davis/Wurth 1965, 82)
